Students will improve their ability to communicate clearly in different legal contexts, practise explaining law-related ideas and receive support in presenting their own ideas and knowledge. Extracts from various contexts, such as legislation, decisions, journals and text books as well as newspaper articles, podcasts and videos will be used. An online exchange with students from an international university is planned.
 
By the end of the course, students will be in a better position to use English to explain the German legal system and understand and explain English language legal systems.
 
Material for this course will be available on Moodle. Students will be given access to the Moodle course in or before the first lesson.
 
Students who complete the course have the option of taking the follow up UNIcert III/2 course.

This course is for students who have passed the placement test with a score between 70 and 100 points.
